Site Engineer – HT/LT Electrical Works

We are seeking 2 qualified Site Engineers with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in HT/LT electrical construction and commissioning works. The ideal candidates will have proven expertise in both internal electrical installations and external infrastructure works, with a thorough understanding of safety norms, quality standards, and project execution procedures followed in the electrical contracting industry.

As a Site Engineer at Goteti Raja Electricals, you will work directly on live substation projects, cable laying networks, transformer installations, and control panel erection assignments — contributing to the company's mission of delivering turnkey electrical solutions up to 33KV.

Internal Works – Responsibilities

  • Supervision of control panel installation, wiring, and termination works inside substations and industrial buildings
  • Execution of LT distribution boards (DB), MCCBs, ACBs, busbars, and cable tray installations
  • Coordination of PCC, AMF, MCC, PLC, and capacitor panel erection as per approved drawings
  • Testing, commissioning, and loop-checking of all internal electrical systems
  • Ensuring compliance with IS standards, approved single-line diagrams (SLDs), and layout drawings
  • Coordinating with internal departments for material procurement, DPR preparation, and progress reporting
  • Monitoring earthing, lightning protection, and cable management systems within the facility
  • Conducting pre-commissioning checks and punch-list closeouts before handover

External Works – Responsibilities

  • Supervision of 11KV/33KV substation erection including RMU, VCB, transformer bays, and LA/AB switches
  • Execution of HT and LT overhead line (OHL) and underground cable (UG) projects
  • Laying, jointing, and termination of 11KV/33KV XLPE and paper-insulated cables
  • Installation of distribution transformers (DTRs), pole-mounted equipment, and associated civil structures
  • Liaising with DISCOM (TSSPDCL/TSNPDCL) and CEIG officials for inspection, testing, and approval of works
  • Ensuring safe excavation, trenching, RCC duct, and road-crossing works as per project specifications
  • Reading and interpreting route alignment drawings, CTP maps, and as-built documentation
  • Maintaining daily progress reports, site diaries, and snag lists for all external project activities

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Diploma (with equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant site experience in HT/LT electrical projects
  • Strong working knowledge of IS codes, CPWD specifications, and CEIG regulations
  • Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, SLDs, cable schedules, and layout plans
  • Familiarity with DISCOM procedures for new connections, augmentation, and metering
  • Valid Electrical Supervisor / Electrical Contractor license (preferred)
  • Ability to manage labour teams, subcontractors, and site coordination independently

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Telugu and English
  • Willingness to travel and work across project sites within Telangana
  • Experience with CEIG approvals and government liaison process (added advantage)
  • Comfortable using AutoCAD or basic engineering drawing tools
  • Demonstrated ability to meet project timelines without compromising safety standards
  • Strong sense of personal integrity and professional accountability
